Dr Ankit Jain

Dr Jain has been a qualified Medical Oncologist since 2009. He initially worked in India at the prestigious institute JIPMER, Puducherry, before moving to Australia in 2012 due to a particular interest in Solid Tumour Oncology.

His speciality interests are Upper and Lower Gastrointestinal Cancers, Neuroendocrine tumours, Hepatocellular Cancers and Head and Neck Cancers.

Dr Jain is a Senior Staff Specialist at The Canberra Hospital and a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the ANU Medical School. He is the current Chair of the Gastrointestinal Cancer Multidisciplinary Meeting at Canberra Health Services.

Dr Jain is actively involved in teaching activities for medical students, basic physician trainees in medicine, advanced trainees in medical oncology and nursing staff. He has multiple academic publications in various peer reviewed Journals. He is a member of various professional bodies including American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Society of Medical Oncology ( ESMO), the Medical Oncology Group of Australia ( MOGA) and the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia ( COSA).
